Asian elephant 16.5x12 cm

The Asian elephant is a mammal in the elephant family and today the only species in its genus. It has a body length of up to 6.5 meters and reaches a weight of up to 5.4 tonnes. The species occurs from northern India to Sri Lanka and eastwards to Southeast Asia. The Asian elephant is more closely related to the extinct mammoths than to the African elephants.
